Then down the coast a bit to find Lighthouse Beach caravan park - a place where 13 years previously I had camped with
Pam and Liane when we were on "The long way home" trip (1995). It took some finding as my memory is hazy.
Once found (and after a trip to the local Tavern) I had the tent section to myself and was soon setup.
Time for a walk on the beach, see the lighthouse and a strange looking rock - or was it a strange rock looking?
I even had time for a a dip in the sea.
Breakfast in the morning and then back on the road to go home
Nearing Gloucester again (I took another part of Bucketty way I had not tried before ... some beautiful views but very windy - below speed limit again!)
I stopped to take pictures of the wind and views- notice the bush ... and Redstripe was blown over by the force of a gust - Bike down!!!!
I didn't stop to take a picture (I wish I had now) but unloaded the gear and got him up again...
This was the Gloucester view I was trying to get - see the damage to redstripe's fairing ? Ouch, it hurt!
After a lunch all by myself in a bookshop/coffee shop - just me and the shopkeeper reading the paper
(separate papers of course!) I headed back into rain and more blustery wind.
I found a supermarket carpark to get out of the rain and warm up my finger - the service station was so crowded I couldn't get in!
Home again to a warm welcome
The End
